This 5000 SF whole home remodel in Wayzata, MN only needed two weeks of planning with the Designer Connected Process. This family started their renovation project with Designer Connected before they even went under contract on the sale of this home. Andrew and Lindsey (homeowners) reached out to their designer, Sam, as soon as they were interested in the property to see what was possible.

From there, Sam contacted the city to get started on the existing home plans – we were able to receive the “As-Built” documents from the building department before the client even completed home inspections. By doing this, the family was able to efficiently verify the important measurements their designer needed with the tools from their “Concept Collaboration Box.”
After the measurements were finalized, Sam got busy on creating the 2 best plans for their space. Sam and the whole family (including 3 year old, Lola and 5 month old, Gigi) collaborated on the 2 unique proposed floor plans comprised a master bathroom and suite remodel, a full kitchen renovation, an updated living room and fireplace, a full basement refresh and even an exterior front elevation to bring more curb appeal to the property. After one 2-hour Concept Collaboration meeting they were able to develop the PERFECT plan that fit all of their remodeling needs.
Behind the scenes, Sam worked-up a completed construction document set and coordinated schedules for the trade-partners so that all that is left is to read through and explain the noted plan and select from the sample materials sent directly to the family's home! By completing the few steps of this process this family was able to start their construction project with confidence on the same day that they closed on the house.
